Question 2006 300 3.5L Touring

So ive searched and searched. Ive seen mixed reviews. So im gonna ask for myself. I recently bought a 300 touring. I love this car. I only wish it had a little more get up when i hit the gas.
Im looking into getting a CAI, switching from single to dual exhaust, and a performance chip. At least for a start. I dont have ridiculous expectations like its gonna give me an extra 300hp. But im curious as to what sort of gains i can expect from lightly modding my car.

With the exhaust ill be replacing from the headers on back. Ive read the predator chip is the way to go. As for CAI, ill probably go K&N. Any insite or feedback would be awesome.

Thanks

The mods you have presented will likely not produce and additional 300 hp. I assume you have a hemi. The only way to even approach an additional 300 hp is all the mods you named plus super charger. I think I'm correct on this, perhaps others have a different take.

The above given, you would be well ahead to get a nice Dodge Charger. It would be cheaper in any case.

Well im not looking to add 300hp. Im looking to get 300hp out of my engine. If possible. Ill probably add the mods i spoke of. Because to some degree, itll add to its performance. Im simply asking, what realistic gains i COULD expect. Goal is to add 50hp. Stock comes 250.

The reason for the question is because perfomance companies like to claim you can get 20 extra horses from a CAI. Which i believe is false. So im looking for real numbers.

Thanks for the reply.

Okay Now I understand. Your expectations seem very reasonable. Go to the other Chrysler forum, "300cforums.com" and look up a thread "DiabloSport In Tune i3 or i3 Tuner. There is a guy posting there by the handle of Maddog who really has it all together.
The guys in the above recommended Thread/forum are talking about hemis but it will get you pointed in the right direction and the education value is top rate.
