2013 300S - Need advice on after market rims size/offset etc...
I'm in need of some aftermarket rims as the standard ones that came with the car are pretty beat up. I used this site which says my wheel width is 8" and my offset is 25mm.
https://www.wheel-size.com/size/chry...m-36i-usdm-292
I wanted to find a set of rims are were similar in design to the current one and came across these:
http://www.wheelpros.com/wheel/12700/he880
However the offset is 41mm. If you scroll down do to all the wheel specs it shows there's a 21mm type but when I went to the shop I was going to buy the wheels at he said he could only get the 41mm ones and that it wouldn't fit my car because the offset is larger and the rim is 1/2" wider.
So basically i'm trying to either find
a) How far can I stray from the 25mm offset and width of the rim and not have it rub in the wheel well? Is there a relation to the offset and wheel width I should know (i.e. smaller offset = wider rim will fit?)
b) Can anyone recommend me to some rims that they know of that will fit on my car? I want to stay close to the original look but would settle for a similar pattern but all black.
c) Is there any way to buy a new set of the original rims for a decent price? I called up the dealership and they quoted me $800/rim...so that's not an option. Ideally I'm looking to pay 200-300 a rim.
