2018 3.6 by touring model 8 speed at slight 3-4 shift flare when cold
Just bought my brand new 18 300 3.6touring rwd with 8 speed at in October. Now have 3400 miles. Literally, out of the blue, when cold, until trans temp gets over 115 or so degrees, 3-4 trans flare. As it shifts, tach quickly jumps about 200-250 rpm. You hear and feel it. My same drivetrain 2012 NEVER did this, and after 85000 miles, that car was flawless. I traded that car in for this one, drove it from October 29 to current. Just started doing this 2-19-19. Anyone else get this issue? Once it is good and warm, no issue, but on my short 5 mile commute, it will do it 4 5 6 times until I've driven and trans temp gets over 120 or so degrees.
Dropped off my 300 at my purchasing dealership Monday. They took me right in, listened to my concern, word for word. Gave me a nice Hemi Ram 1500 4x4 to drive. Today, advisor tells me they are getting me a valve body. Stay in loaner.Feeling pretty ok, so far. Dealership is trying, and they care.
My question is, am I safe for the long haul? My 2012 300 gave me 6 years 85000 miles worth of good service. That 2012 car had to have its oil pump replaced, at approx 15,000 miles, due to check engine codes. Same dealer fixed perfectly, life went on till 85000 miles, when I went for the 18. Hopefully my 18 works out and this is my one goofy issue I have. Heck, my 2006 Hemi 300 had early on MDS solenoid issues. Same dealership fixed that up perfectly, and I drove that til 2012, 90,000 miles with no real further issues. The kid who bought it from me when I bought my 2012, still drives the 06, and she is still gorgeous. Dealership is David Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Glen Mills, Pa. They are great. I recommend them sales and service. Fingers crossed valve body fixes my 18. I'll keep you all posted.

Just drove car home from dealership. Pulled into my well lit garage and looked car over. I cannot even tell she was worked on, except for the usual resetting of mpg from whatever computer reset they do. I do know, that on the 40 mile drive home from dealership, car ran great. They replaced my valve body, as you'll read from previous post. I can tell she needs to relearn my driving, but I am happy . Tomorrow morning is a cold morning here in Nj, so I will know for sure if she is fixed. Fingers crossed. But thus far, David CJDR in Glen Mills, PA is a wonderful place to do business. They care and stand behind the cars they sell.
oh, don't worry about that. I purchased a 7 yr, 100,000mile extended Chrysler Maxcare warranty, when I bought the car. I always get extended warranties, for I generally keep cars 6 to 7 years. I work in the industry, and quite often see people have to make expensive repairs, while still paying car off, and I refuse to let that happen to me. Thanks for the advise, Chris.
