Default 300C awd Vibration

I Have a 2005 300 C AWD and have been having problems since 8/05 with a vibration coming from the steering when you turn it all the way such as in a tight corner turn. I have taken it in to the dealer several times alerady, and so far they can find nothing wrong with it.

Does anyone know of a similar issue?

please help.

Sam.

I just started noticing the same thing in my 2006 300 TOURING AWD but havent taken it in yet. I did notice that after 5 miles or so it go away but it doesnt seen to matter if its warm or cold out. And it seems to happen after the car sit for 8 hours (during work) or so. I only have 8000 miles on my car. Anyone else having the problem ?

Perhaps it is losing traction or the wheel/* is rubbing against the wheel well?

ORIGINAL: ViperGTS

I dont know about lancellots problem but the above statement wouldnt apply to my problem It happens at such a low speed (backing out of a parking spot, leaving the gas pump, etc) that it cant be a traction problem and as for a wheel rubbing, these damn cars have so much clearance in the wheel wells that I doubt thats whats causing it, plus the fact that I have a wheel rub on my 89 Mustang GT and it feels nothing like that at all. My feeling is that I think my problem is in the AWD system itself. Im also dreading taking it in to the dealer and them telling me "We cant find it" and I end up running out of warranty then they tell me "We found it and it cost an arm and a leg to fix". But thanks for the thought ViperGTS, input is always welcome.

I believe Ive found the answer and Chrysler does have a TSB for it. Heres the link:

Note the "SYMPTOMS" listed in the TSB

I had that in my Magnum AWD, Chrysler Europe told the dealer to put in a new transfer case. Had to do with the placement of a vent hose letting in water. New case has different setup for the hose.

Here are the details for the Magnum TSB:

2005 Dodge Magnum
Bulletin #: 04023
Sequence #: 10010565
Date: 10/08/2004
Component Name: 104000 power train:transfer case (4-wheel drive)
Make: Dodge
Model: Magnum
Year: 2005
Summary: Transfer case vent hose improperly routed which could result in water entering the transfer case and cause driveline shudder (crow hopping) during parking lot maneuvers. rapid response transmittal #04-023. *tt

Well, I got the car back and the paperwork says that they did the repair per the TSB I mentioned in my above post. All seems well now but I have my doubts. Know where in the TSB I referenced did it say anything about rerouting a vent tube to prevent this from happening again, and I dont believe that the Magnum and 300 differ enough that the repair on the Magnum requires the vent tube modification and the 300 does not. Time will tell.

THE VIBRATION IS DUE TO THE PLANTARY CAP OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT IN THE TRANSFER CASE.

A SPACER NEEDS TO BE REMOVED AND A NEW CAP INSTALLED. THERE IS A TSB THAT APPLIES TO ALL AWD 300'S
