Default Cabin filter

My 07 300 limited does not have a slot to install a cabin filter. I forced the filter to where the slot should have been.
will this cause any damage?

Not all of them have the cabin filter option.
My 5.7 liter 300C at first glance looks like it has the option, but that is not true.
The door over the filter is there because the plastic panel is used on all of the cars, whether they have the option or not.

So simply forcing a filter down into that location, most likely does absolutely nothing in the way of filtering out particles, and could if it gets in the wrong place, block air flow.
