Default Clockspring Question

2005 Chrysler 300 with mutlifunction buttons on steering wheel.
I need to change the clockspring and received one which has a black multi pin connector with 6 wires. The videos I have seen to replace the clockspring show a smaller white connector with 3 wires and I understand that these are for the horn. Before going through the motions of removing the air bag is anyone able to explain whether I have the correct clockspring or if there is a means to make a determination (VIN number etc.) which one I need, black or white connector?

Thanks in advance

Post a picture of the clockspring you received and/or note the manufacturer/part number of the clockspring you received.

Check out this video -

That is one of the videos I referred to, attached are the photos. The connector as you can see is larger than in the video.

In my opinion, that is not the correct clockspring. There should be 2 separate connectors for the airbag itself as well as the separate horn connector. The part number indicates it is the right clockspring but the connector says not.

From the perspective you took the pictures, it appears there is the connector on the backside of the clockspring may not be long enough, looks to be almost 2 inches in the video.. Pull the clockspring out of the box and compare it to the video.

Take a run out to an auto parts store and compare the clockspring with one the parts store would sell you. You should be able to open the parts store box to compare.

I noticed in the video that the steering wheel does not have the multi-function buttons. My 300 has the multi-function buttons and the description of the clock spring states that it is only for a steering wheel with the multi-function buttons.
