Default Driving in the snow

Well, my wife drove her 300 for the first time in the snow and now she's ready to get rid of the car! She had a FWD car prior to buying the 300 this fall. I'd love to hear any feedback from others who drive their 300 in the snow. How does it handle for you? Do you use snow tires? Any other advice? Thanks!

It is not possible to drive a 300C in the snow. Last year we hadless than aninch of snow. The driveway has an up incline of only a couple degrees to get out. The wheels just keep spinning and spinning. We never did get out. I had to drive my husbands 1989 Caddie ElDorado with 200K miles, which is a real piece of junk after all these years. Every possible warning light is one and it has no heat, but he insists its a great car. But with front wheel drive we got out of the driveway.

To answer your question, you don't drive in snow with a 300C.

I've been driving my 300 C in the snow here in Michigan and so far so good. I'm using GoodyearAssurance Comfort tread tires with three sand bags in the trunk( total weight 210 lbs.) I don't think it's really a big deal, you have to know how to drive in the winter.

I race 505 hp corvette at track days at Summit Point so I know how to drive
My 300C is the worse car in the world in even a dusting. I cant even get out of my driveway if its calling for snow!

Just because you race a car doesn't mean you know how to drive in the winter. Like I said I have been driving mine all around and quite frankly I'm surprised that it goes as good as it does. There is alot of people that think they know how to drive in the winter, they are the ones that I see in the ditch on my way to work in the morning. You need good tires and some weight over the rear axle.

3rd winter in Ontario Canfor me. The 300 does blow when driving in the snow. Lose the factory tires, GY or those damn Conti and upgrade. I just bought the new GY Tripletread, or even a good snow/ice tire.Throw some weight in the truck...I have 2, 35lb plates in mine.

moe in wichita kansas. what the above cats said about tires is right. i had a 1965 300 L with a positrack rear end. i put tires on itfor traction on dry pavement, but on snow they wouldnt move the car. a few years later my dad had the car. he put different tires on it. it was like a tank in the snow. so i say tires are the answer

Have you tried to disable the ESP? I've found when I'm stuck that this works to get the car moving again.
