Default EGR error Code P0401 300c 2007 3.0CRD

Good morning all, i have been having this code on and off, now mostly on for my above vehicle. I have replaced and cleaned my EGR valve and tested its function with my Micropod 2 scanner and all seems ok, i have trawled the internet for info on this problem on the 3.0 crd engine but with avail. I am trying to find out whats going on, it seems to trigger when at idle . I have read many posts but nearly always dont refer to this engine and talking about the Vacuum loss and this valve does not seem to operate with Vacuum ?
I have read about blanking but then concerned about emissions at MOT, also using a resistor to simulate the valve connected.
Any advise would be appreciated , i have also read the PCV valve could be related?
Maybe a sensor not reading correctly.
I had the EGR replaced about a year ago and all was well and was completed by a Chrysler garage so have not checked the pipe for blockages but it looks so clean and trying to avoid unecersasary work.
Sometimes these things fail in the same way on the same vehicles so propbably the best place to start is other peoples experiences .
I enclose a report and conditions of the code.
Thank you
