Angry p0403 EGR still on

I recently replaced my EGR valve due to the dreaded p0403 code. I cleaned out the tube as the end at the valve was full of carbon. Started van and engine light was off. I have put about 100 miles on since and not light came back on and says p0403 again. I did put an aftermarket valve in. Could that be it or is there anything else I can check with p0403?

Thanks

if the MIL is not lit, then it's a historical fault and will need to be cleared with a scan tool that is capable of talking to the chrysler ECU

Clean the MAF that lives close to the air filter and will have Bosch stamped on it. Use some CRC spray orsome elelectrical contact spray. Sometimes the code comes up because its dirty and nothing to do with egr valve.

Sorry about that. It's 2008 3.8 with 68000... I'll clean the MAF and give that a shot...
