Default Uconnect Display Screen

I've read several threads that talk about Uconnect screens that are delaminating or bubbling. I'm wondering if this is grouped to particular years. Can anyone enlighten me on problems with these screens? Other factors could be cars that are garaged or under cover versus parked outside (exposure to more intense heat in the summer). Other causes considered are displays that are cleaned with glass cleaner containing ammonia. A lot of the fails I read about are on 2018 vehicles which doesn't bode well for those of who have yet to reach 4-5 years. This issue is all over the place, some blaming owners and most blaming the manufacturer. I hope a definitive cause can be found no matter whose at fault.

Honda has recalled 1 million vehicles because the backup cameras are messed up. This is the course of action for anyone who has a delaminated display. You can report your safety concern to the NHTSA here:.

Ive had similar issues as all the others. Have a 2018 300S. My screen had a bubbling line that as it got worse, the more the screen would jump into different modes. Climate/Radio/SXM/Turn off randomly/not respond to touch. Everytime I drive something happens. How do I get it fixed is the question. Its been getting worse. Started 2 years ago.

Default Repair of delaminated screens

Search Youtube and there are several videos of how to change out the screen. I wouldn't call it easy but if you're handy you can do it. I do hope you will report it on the link I provided.

Thumbs up

I had same delaminating problem. Found a company called OEMGPSNAV on eBay. (916) 205-7581 Company actually located in the Sacramento California area. Great guy. Installed new screen for $400. Works great. All issues resolved.
