I want to turn off the MDS system on my 2007 Aspen with the 5.7 motor. Someone said buy a Diablo tuner to do this?? are there other tuners or products other than the Diablo I could use to get it shut off???? I googled Diablo yuner and there are soooo many that do different things so how do I know which one I need?? HELP

 

I'm sure their are many different tuners out there. You just need to check the specs on them to see if they tune for MDS for you vehicle. I am using the Diablo Intune i2 and it works fine. May not allow for as much options as the bigger tuners but does the MDS. I actually bought mine used from another member here. If you buy used, make sure it is unlocked (deregistered) to a vehicle. Once you hook it to a vehicle, it registers to that vehicle and will not work with any other unless you unregister that vehicle (has to be connected to that vehicle to unregister) or purchase additional vehicle licenses.

 

Diablo was a bit too expensive for me so found one called Range MDS Manager... specifially forChrysler 5.7 .. part no. RA004 .... half the price of Diablo. should be here in a few days....

 

Yeah, they can be expensive. Like I said, I bought mine used so I got it for $150. Hope that one works out for you. Keep us updated.

Raybobjr, how did thst ranger mds manager work for you? I'm not a PhD so how hard was it to install?
