Default 2008 Aspen blower motor resistor location?

My front blower motor controls have been acting up lately. First the blower motor didn’t work on any setting, now it just runs at a single speed no matter what setting I select. It even runs when I shut off the climate control.

I already had a new blower motor handy, so I swapped it out. No change. I assume it’s the resistor at this point.

I can’t get a straight answer as to where the resistor is. The OEM diagram indicates that it’s right next to the blower motor, but that’s where the heating element is. Other sources say it’s behind the glovebox (my Aspen has no access behind the glove box door, it’s a solid plastic panel), and others say it’s under the hood. I’ve looked all over and can’t find it.

Help please!

The Blower motor resistor is underneath the dash on the passenger sideunder the glove box. Look for a wide black plastic tab sticking out. It's above it.

Default Both blowers out

I replaced the resistor but no change. No power to blower motor. Maybe ground? Wiring diagrams/schematics are sad.
