Same for me, it keeps shutting off and on while driving sometimes it's not useable for hours. My problems started when the hard drive went out and my saved mp3 want playable. Right at the ten year mark because i have a 2008 chrysler aspen limited 5.7 Hemi. Let me know if you find a solution please, much respect!

Sorry about replying to an old topic, but the radio cycling on and off is a common problem, posted elsewhere. The quick answer is that the hard drive failed. You can read about it on MyGig.com if you have the time (https://www.allpar.com/stereo/MyGIG-REN/index.html) and these guys sell used hard drives https://mygig-disk.com/index.php that will fix the problem with a little bit of work on your part. I fixed mine in about 15 minutes, plus the $100 or so. Still a lot cheaper and easier than a new radio.
