Aspen block heater cord temp sensor?
Hi,
Does anyone know if the block heater cord on the 2007 Aspen has a temperature sensor on it? I live in northern Canada and really need it to work. I've owned GM up until now and they have a sensor on the end of the cord that keeps the heater from working until 0°F (-18°C).
The Aspen block heater cord has a small rectangular rubber chunk on about 5" from where it plugs into the block that may contain a sensor.
Pulled it off and plugged it in and it shows 120 volts (at room temp)so guessing sensor isn't present.
Can't hear a hissing noise so not sure if it's even working.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Figured it out myself and for the record there is no temperature sensor on these units. I plugged it in and crawled under the vehicle with the engine cold. I could feel the heat coming off the block heater housing no problem.
