Default Aspen Front Drive Shaft

2007 Aspen 4x4 5.7L 244 Transfer Case (185K), my front drive shaft is on its last legs and my mechanic has had the OEM part on order with the dealer since January, three missed delivery dates and currently no clue from the dealer as to when it may ship????

So, over the past two weeks I have tried two alternatives, a rebuild from an on line source, ended up being 6.5" to short, even though they said it was compatible. This week went to a locale salvage group that had a front drive shaft off of a 08 Durango (244 Transfer Case, but 4.7L), it ended up being only 2" to short.

Any assistance as to why I may be having trouble sourcing the correct length (32") since I though all 07-09 Aspen/Durango used the same drive train (244 Transfer Case). Any help out would be greatly appreciated.
