I was doing a brake refresh on my 2008 Aspen. Calipers, Rotors, Pads, Flex Lines, Parking brake cables, Rear backing plates, Shoes, etc. My parking brake adjuster was pretty rusted and crusty and I was having difficulty getting it a part so I looked to purchase a new one.

Surprise, surprise, it was NLA from Chrysler - Mopar part# 52113687AB

Upon further inspection, it looked just like the adjuster on my buddies Ram 1500. I took some measurements, and a closer look. The part appeared to be identical even though it had a different part# and did not cross reference anywhere in the Chrysler parts system or internet searches. The part# for the RAM 1500 adjuster is 52113642AB. I ordered it and it is indeed identical and works just fine on the Aspen.

Nice find. Hopefully I won't need to replace that, but it's good to know if I ever do. I have a feeling several parts will cross over from the RAM but they hide them under another part number.
