Default Drivetrain "Clunk" on Downshift

Ever since we got the '07 Limited (base model), wife and I noticed a "clunk" when coasting to a stop and the tranny downshifts. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? The tranny shifts OK so not sure if there is any problem.

I know my wife says that ours "makes a noise", once in awhile, I read somewhere that it is common, and acceptable forthe oddnoise. For it to be a constant repeat of noise, on command, then I would be concerned.

Just a quick update about this clunking on downshift issue. I just got my Aspen back from the dealer and it turns out that it was a transmission software issue. The dealer reset the computer and did a re-learn on the trans and then updated the software. No more clunking on downshifts at all!

Mine has always done this but I was told it happens with this type of trans. Did you have to pay for the re-learn program? I'll take mine in to see what they say.

I know this may be somewhat off topic, but my 08 Sport Trac V8 (6 spd auto) also experience this issue. There was a TSB for the same fix: software update.
