Called yesterday and they ordered parts and set appointment for 2pm today and they had it done and an oil change by 3:30pm. No charge for the repair and it worked on the fill up afterwords very pleased.

I had received my letter from Chrysler regarding the TSB (14-001-12) last month but wasn't able to take my Aspen in until today, they made the repairs at no charge to me.

Tubman, I think you have to write a letter to the NHTSA, first, then they will contact Chrysler.

I think it is a weather issue. I have a 07 aspen 5.7. Last year around the same time I had the problem of the gas coming out. then it stopped after it got warmer out again. Now it is doing it again. I tried different gas stations did not fix the problem.

It's not a weather issue. Chrysler has extended the warranty regarding this issue and will repair it free of charge.

Do you have to wait until you get a letter? Or can you just take your car in?

What if you didn't receive a letter?

Bring your vehicle to the service department and refer to TSB 14-001-12 REV. A.

Vehicles included in this Service Bulletin have a lifetime coverage - Unlimited Time and Mileage warranty for this repair.

I have a 2008 Aspen with this issue as well. Thanks for this great discussion thread. I'll call my local dealer (Phila, PA) and see what they will do.
