Default New shocks

Replaced OEM with Bilstein. What an improvement in handling and cornering.

How many miles do you have?
Did you replace them for better performance or were your shot?
I have 40K on my '07 and the shocks feel fine... cornering/handling/ride smooth, etc. That said, I am curious how it would with a new set of Bilsteins???

I would change out your shocks. I have not heard of shocks lasting that long on our rides. I thought mine were okay until I changed them out and it is a huge difference. I could actually push the shocks in by hand - that's how bad they were.

Change 'em out. You will be amazed.

You won't be disappointed, unless you like a very smooth, cushy ride. The OEM shocks on the Aspen seem to have been designed for smoothness at the expense of longevity. I remember a commercial when the new Durango came out that showed a family going over a railroad crossing without being jarred at all. If they had tried that at 40k miles, they would have bounced down the road like they had hydraulics.

I replaced mine on a 2007 Aspen at 50k, the ride was very bouncy, especially over bumps. The new shocks made it ride like new again.
I put Gabriel Ultras on it...
