Default rpms jumping around?

I was wondering if anyone else feels their Aspen's speed going up and down as they drive at a constant rate on flat roads? I feel mine speeding up just a tad every little bit going down the highway!! I feel it the most when I have the cruise set. I can even see the tach jump about 300rpm when it is doing this. When you are cruising at 60mph on and the lock up converter is locked what rpm should i be reading on the tach? Most of the time mine is just under 2000rpm. I think it should be closer to 1600, but I could be wrong. I really think I have a TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) issue or lock up converter problem but the dealership says it drives normal and it is just the MDS system. Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks

After our 3,000 mile road trip I think I agree wtih the dealership, this is the way MDS shows up.

We have the CAI on the Aspen and you can hear the difference when MDS is active or not. I don't see any change in RPM when the MDS cuts in or out. Just an increase/decrease in torque and power with each cycle of MDS. I do agree, I would like to see an indicator of MDS being active during driving.

The 300C MDS was less noticeable and you could hardly ever tell when MDS was active or not.

I think it is just the way the Aspen MDS software works.

I had the opportunity to drive a 4.7 L Aspen with 4WD as the loaner while mine is in the shop. RPM at 60 mph is 1600-1650. Does not seem to change at all unless you go up or down a hill and the car downshifts.

I got our HEMI back, at 60 mph the tach reads between 1800-1900 rpm. This has the 3.92 rear axle. It reads about 2100 rpm at 80 mph.
Interesting!!!
