Exclamation Flashing Front & Rear Lights Constantly ~20 Seconds After Locking

Hello! My car, a 2007 Crossfire, just yesterday started flashing the front and back lights and the dome lights come on around ~20 seconds after locking the car. I can lock the car while the lights are constantly flashing and then car will lock > lights flash a couple times indicating that the doors locked > no lights for ~20 seconds > then lights start flashing and dome lights come on again.

I unlocked the car to see if it would do it also and after about ~30 seconds after unlocking the card would lock itself and begin the same issue.

I noticed also that the tow light button will flash, but I don't know if it already did this or not. Maybe it already did this as part of the security system blinking or something and I am just now noticing the tow light button because of this problem? I researched around a little and I'm thinking it's either the pump in the trunk that controls the locks in the car or the alarm siren battery went bad. I could be way off base that is why I am asking here to see if anyone has had this issue before.

The cars main 12v battery is in good condition and about a year old. I also have no issues starting the car and driving it. Also there are no check engine lights on that could indicate a problem.

Thanks for any help!

Try disconnecting the battery, wait a minute or two and reconnecting. This sounds like computer issue. Re-booting might clear it out. If not, you'll probably need to take it in to a shop with a very good computer scanner, like a dealership. A Mercedes dealer is about as likely as a Chrysler dealer to be able to drill down to the anti-theft part of the computer to find the problem. The car was built by Daimler.

When my 2005 Crossfire had similar problems, it was found that the Alarm horn was failing. After it was replaced with an equivalent Mercedes-Benz part, the problem was solved. Perhaps this is your issue too.
Best,

Default Crossfire 2005 Blinking Lights

Change out the key fob battery and then it has to be synced with the car again so unhook the battery cables and hook them back and everything will reset.
