For the last few weeks I had code p0440 coming up. I realized that the code always came on after I floored it, to passed or pick up speed. After searching this site, I check all the hoses on the evap system, and could not find any crack hoses.What I found is, under the hood were the evap hose connect to the engine, the rubber hose was not as tight as it could be, so I replaced it making a tight connection. I went for a drive with quite a few hard acceleration, and no eng lite yet. If this was the problem, it may also solve the other small leak code that come up.

 

Well the same code came back last night,after a drive up the mountain. Back to squire one. Again it append after pushing the engine to a higher rpm.
