Default 04 Pacifica noise???

When I hit the brakes where it will slow down the vehicle pretty fast I am hearing this kind of popping noise coming from the front while there is pressure being put on the front end. Does this make sense to someone?

I have the same problem on my '04 AWD Pac. Usually at lower speeds as the car is close to making a full stop. It's a cracking/popping noise. I've ruled out the ABS braking and in my research here and elswhere online, it looks like it might be the lower control arms or sway bar links. I'm planning to replace mine. I've already replaced the struts and that did not fix the problem. I have 105k on mine.

It is hard to replace them? Is there a DIY (Do It Yourself) post out there for that? Thanks guys!

Man, they cost a good amount of money for just the part. I found just one used for $100 and that seems crazy to me. That was the starting bid on ebay, no one has bid and I am not. Does anyone know where to get both control arms, left and right for a good price?

How much did it cost you? And the noise is completely gone now?
