'04 won't idle !!!!

My Pacifica sometimes is hard to start and then won't idle. Today I noticed that the dash said fob and key not recognized and a red light was flashing , theft alarm/imobilizer light stayed on. Any ideas?

how strong is the battery? weak battery will cause both problems.moe

you might have a bad key fob.does it start and shut right off with the light flashing??
