Default 06 Pacifica 3.5 Timing Belt

Service manual says to loosen the rocker arms before removing the timing belt because this is a non freewheeling engine. Anybody know how much I should loosen them?

Don't bother with that, never did on mine and still no problems (50 000KM later).

I did timing belt on 08 Pacifica 4.0 (same basic engine as 3.5 with longer stroke) and did not mess with rocker arms. Don't cheap out and get an after market water pump. I did that at 100k miles and had to redo the job at 138k due to a leaking water pump. Get the OEM water pump. Now I'm an expert and changing Pacifica timing belts. Argh!
