07 PAC, noise when turing
Hello all,
I have been a reader here since I got my car back in December. I have not had any complanits until now. When I turn the wheel at low speed, say to make a right turn off the road, I get a sorta whine, or hum coming from the steering. To me, it sounds like a power steering issue, I have checked the fluid level and it is ok, anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks to any that take time to read this, you all have a great community here!

mine does it one time when the temps are cool to cold. Once I make a couple of turns it does not do it the rest of the day. I'm not worried as I have had other cars do the same thing. I have had my '06 since Sept '07.

If it only does it occasionally I'm willing to put up with it. But my 08 Pacifica began whining within a two weeks of our purchase of it. I took it to the dealer since it is a new car under warranty and found out there was a service bulletin for a power steering hose / gear set that wasn't made correctly. The effect was to keep backpressure on the system causing whine. It only happened when the wheel was turned to the right at any low speeds.
