Default '07 Park lockout

I've recently purchased an '07 Pacifica 4.0. I keep reading about the "pink thingy" and want to change it before the inevitable happens, but all references to this failure are pre '07. Does anyone know if it was still in place on the 2007 model years?

Not that I know of. Of course, if you buy a machined one for 20-25$, its a steal knowing it won't ever brake. My 05' hasn't broke yet but I plan on changing it before it does. And as for mrfixit, if you are a PAC owner and you're on the forum often, you should know what chasfreeman is talking about.

Absolutely true, It wont ever break. But it WILL grind itself into the plastic shaft and irreparably damage the shifter assembly.
