08 Pacifica - iPod with Sirius integrated?
2008 Pacifica with radio/CD head unit and 6 disc DVD changer (no video system). Sirius is integrated through the radio/CD head unit. iPod plays fine through the RCA jacks located on either the radio/CD head unit, or the 6 disc changer, no problem.
My previous 2004 Pacifica was totaled recently and I was using the USASPEC interface PA11-CHR which allowed control of the iPod with the steering wheel butons while charging it as well. Worked great and had an additional RCA connection which I used for my Sirius car kit (the 2004 did not have Sirius integrated through the radio/CD head unit).
Since I still have the USASPEC interface, I hooked it up to the '08 radio/cd head unit. Works great just as it did in the '04. . .BUT, I lose the integrated Sirius function when toggling the "mode" button.
So, I guess what I'm looking for is an aux adapter unit of some kind for an '08 Pacifica that allows control of an iPod from the steering wheel while charging, yet won't 'kill' the integrated Sirius. FYI - I don't mind not using the 6 disc DVD changer. In fact, I haven't used it yet, and I probably won't.
Thanks for reading!

Do some research on Crutchfield's website for "ipod integration". Go through the "outfit my car" setup first, and then for any specific item read the installation notes. Those notes will indicate what functions you will maintain/lose with a given device.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually had already checked it out (I get the Crutch magazine regularly). Looks doable, but for the cost of two iPods
. I guess I'll suffer through a minor lack of 'control' on the iPod in order to keep Sirius integrated through the factory head unit. Thanks again for your response.

The sound through the RCA inputs is actually much better than the aux adapter. I've decided (at least for now) to just use the RCA's and a separate cord to charge if necessary. Now, I am looking for the storage bin/box to replace the 6 disc changer that I'll never use
