You need a 2 farad capacitor to maintain voltage with your 1200 watt amp.

I have a 1.5 farad cap for my 900 watt rms system. I figured 2 farad would suffice.

Ok update. The 4 farad capacitor does work to an extent. lights still dim when I have the bass turned all the way up and the sound on full. But it does help to the point where i can turn the bass down a little bit and they wont dim. The 07 pacifica just has a horrible alternator. Will be looking into a high output alternator in the near future... thanks guys !

What size power and ground wire did you use, and what brand amp is it? I have an 05 with about 1500 watts total to a 18" sub with min dim of lights no caps
