Default 2006 Pacifica performance tips

so i bought a 06 PAC AWD 3.5 with 275K Km on it ... got a really good deal . Had performance issue ( sticky short runner valve flappers ) .

1st , gave it some sound and cheked the Cat to see if it is clogged up ... cat is just fine and flow is great . changed muffler for magnaflow 2.5 inch a the rear tip ... gave it some punch and hardly no sound . so i decided to replace the other muffler ( the one in the middle of the car ) with a magnaflow ... and wow , great deep sound and not loud at all ( i have 5 kids and use this car for trips and dont want a noisy exhaust ) and gave it some more torque . i can say by replacing the 2 pieces of exhaust , it gave me a quite noticable performance gain and economy. in canada we use l/100 so i went from HWY 15.7L/100 down to 11.7L/100 km - cruising speed of 120km/h.

tomorow i will do the injection cleaner and in a near future , i will remove the short runner valve system as i think the rubber on the flappers that close in the intake part are so soft that there is a lot of turbulence in the intake manifold and unequal air flow to the cylinders. WILL KEEP YOU POSTED !

Cheers

Question for you -- did the Magnaflow mufflers bolt in? Or do you need to cut and weld them in?

That's a pretty impressive gain you picked up on the fuel economy, and any extra torque is always a good thing.

Hey turbobass, can you give me the item codes and where you bought them from? could you also try an include some audio to hear whats it like. I like to idle "roar" of my 3.5, but if you added MAGNAFLOW, man I would love to hear this before I decide to go threw with changing mine.

Part numbers and/or where you purchased the 2 parts from would also help (i.e. Canadian Tire, Napa, etc)...

Cheers!
