Friend of mine has a 06 pacifica with a 3.5 v6. its having problems starting. i am the mechanic of the group of friends so he wants me to change it. I was something that the exhaust manifold needs to be removed to do this. Can anyone confrim or deny this? I havent seen the vehicle yet. Its currently in a targer parking lot so Im trying to determine if it can be done in the parking lot or it needs to be towed to my garage.

Ive read a few places that the (neg) cable on this starter is **** to wiggling loose so that will be the first thing I check. Just thought I would try to give myself a heads up before hand.

any information is appreiciated.

 

I drop the engine cradle a bit and take out the front engine mount. That's on a lift though. Never done it on the ground before. Don't think i'd want to.
