Default 2006 T & C starter problems

I was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice on my Town and Country. My wife was driving through a rain storm last week. Lots of water on the road, and she doesn't shy away from standing water. The next day the van won't start. There is just a fast clicking sound like from a drained battery. But the lights, radio and fan inside are all working fine and don't seem to dim when I try to start it. BUT the interior lights blink while the starter is clicking. I jumped the battery and after a few seconds the van started up fine. Drove it for several days with no issues. Last night parked it for about 3 hours downtown. I come back to start it and the same problem occurs. Again a jump gets it started. I searched the threads here, but couldn't find one that told the end of the story. From reading it may be a starter relay, solenoid, or starter. Or as simple as a new battery? Maybe I'm putting too much concern into the rain issue. Thanks.
