Default 2006 2.8 CRD Grand Voyager Fusible link dead (from alternator to starter)

Hi to all,

After alternator had a short circuit (now repaired) the Fusible link which sits between alternator and starter, and is a wire, had burned out. Now I have no charge going to the battery. As I can observe the mentioned fusible link is a part of the engine wiring, but I do not want to replace the whole engine wiring due to high cost of the same.

What are the alternative ways to repair the fusible link?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Regadrs,
Alexander
