2021 Pacific Hybrid dead
I purchased the 2021 Pacific Pinnacle Hybrid in March 2021. We have really enjoyed this vehicle. We took it on a couple vacations over the summer and were very pleased with it.
On Sunday, I told my wife just how impressed I was with the vehicle overall (of course there are a couple electrical quirks that are concerning but we managed to get through). Then, of course, the next morning I was going to use the Pacifica and the key FOB wouldn't work. I thought that strange, so I changed the battery in the FOB. It still did nothing. Then I got the other FOB, still nothing. I released the key and opened the door mechanically and found that nothing to do with electricity (the entire vehicle) would work. I tried the door lock/unlock switch: nothing. Interior lights: nothing. The entire car was electrically dead. I got ahold of road-side assistance to have them take it to the local dealer (never liked them, that's why I purchased elsewhere). The first thing the tow truck driver did was jump-start the car. It started right up. He then told me it was a dead battery. We both thought that strange due to the age of the Pacifica. But, we put it on his tow and he took it to the dealer to check it out. I just received a phone call from the dealer saying, "There is nothing wrong with your vehicle." He told me they plugged it in and found nothing. I explained to him what happened and that there is something wrong with the vehicle. There have been other times where it wouldn't start, but all the electric was working ,other than the vehicle wouldn't start., but we got around it an it eventually started. I explained to him a couple times exactly what happened. He argued and spoke to me like I'm an idiot. He informed me how this vehicle has, "a better system than the first space shuttle" and that it would have found any problem the vehicle had. I again explained to him that whether his computer caught it or not it had a problem...
Has anybody else had this kind of problem with the Pacifica and/or a service person that needs to get a clue?
