Advise me on this pacificia, should I buy it?
Hey all,
I've got a line on an 05 pacifica touring. Leather, no nav or entertainment..
it's done 188000 kms (117500 miles). With a full service history. vin check shows no accidents. it's had a bunch of scrapes though. Guy selling it has a quote for $1100 to fix it all, knock the dents out paint where needed and generally get it back up to reasonable. It will need a good clean inside but there's just a few small scrapes.
It's got the door popping sound... so I guess I"m gonna need a new strap for that. Cost?
All in this car is going to set me back $5500 with the bodywork to bring it back up... Good deal? It's still cheaper than any other 05 pac around these parts (even ones with higher miles) I'd like to get another 5 years of driving out of it which I figure would be pushing 200k miles out of it...
Thoughs? Any concerns I should be considering? I'll get an independent mechanic to test it for me (a guy I trust).
Good to be a part of a great community!

Bought mine almost 3 years ago now(05 Pac no nav or enternaiment at 109 000KM). Would do it over again. This only issue I have is the oil sending unit seems to be defective even when new(but that really has nothing to do with the actual car.) Since your original thread stated KMs, look up on Kijiji Ontario Pacifica service manuals. Guy is asking 30$$. You'll need that bible if you really want to go threw with the purchase.

I love the car, but not the materials. Pacifica rides and handles nicely. The problem is that I don't think it's built to last. I wish Fiat would have resurrected the Pacifica. It's funny how many vehicles are now looking similar to the Pacifica. Chrysler did create a new segment with the Pacifica. Too bad it didn't catch on.
