Default Buzz in Stereo

This is a 2004 factory installed stereo with the 6 disk DVD player. I occasionally have buzzing in the stereo and at times the sound is extremely distorted, but it is only sometimes this happens on the DVD player, the CD player and the radio. I can be listening to the same CD one day and it sound great having it up loud then some days it is very bad where even if it is down really low it is distorting.
