I have an 06 Pacifica AWD Touring with all options except the navigation system and Uconnect... The rearview mirror I do have has auto dim and has a wire harness with (I think) 6 wires plugged into the back as well as 2 smaller wires that lead to a cover on the mirror arm...

My question is: can I buy a rearview mirror with Uconnect for a Pacifica from a junkyard and install it in the place of the mirror I have to get the Uconnect feature on my particular vehicle (with the options I have)? Also, if it can be done, does the dealer need to reprogram anything? Are the mirrors the same for 04-08 models?

This depends, in my 04, I had the connector under the 2nd row console like the manual shows (hidden under carpet). all the wiringn was at the Driver A pillar but stopped there for the mirror. The Telematics Module was about $500. I could never find one in a junk yard a yeer or 2 ago. There may be more now. You would need to pull the a pillar on the drivers side. Mine had a bunch of wires on one side of the harness (near the dash) and only a few coming out. For the sunroof and Overhead console I believe. You have to use the module from a Pacifca and you would have to make a harness to go from the mirror to a pillar, get connectors for mirror. Not an easy task. I hand found one guy that did it and I think he was able to find the module at the junk yard. The mirror harness was part of a body harness and the dealer wnated $900 for it. This is why you have to make a harness and unless you can cut it out of a junkyard car.

The ideal would be to get the parts from a junk yard.

Wire harness is part of a body harness RSP code.... $900 ouch!
