Default Changing sparkplugs on the 4.0 Pacifica

Looking at the configuration of the motor I realize there must be "tricks of the trade" needed when changing these plugs.

Could those guys experienced in these techniques please share them ?

On the 3.5, I have heard the intake manifold has to come off. I have never done this maintenance yet. It might be the same for the 4.0

The upper intake MUST be removed. The plugs are platinum and are generally good for 100,000miles.

Lots of engines use this design now,not just chrysler. Compact engine compartments, low hood lines need this.

hey bud,the cover needs to come off to get those back plugs, heres what the say...
When the spark plug has a single or double platinum tip, the recommended service life for normal driving conditions per schedule A in this manual is 100,000 miles (161 000 km). The spark plugs have a recommended service life of 75,000 miles (121 000 km) for severe driving conditions per schedule B in this manual. A thin platinum pad is welded to both or just the center electrode end(s) as shown in.moe
