Default Check Engine Code P0401 EGR flow insufficient

My check engine light came on last night, so i ran down to the auto store and they plugged in the OBDII scanner and the system says:
P0401 EGR Flow Insufficient!

Now could that be my EGR valve is damaged? clogged?
What route should I take to get that fixed to avoid major expenses!

Talking about EGR valves, us PAC owners have this 100K EGR valve warranty too - would that apply to this code?

any response will be appreciated folks! Thanks

The last 4 days, I have had the engine light on. Today it went out, but I checked the code.... it has the P0401 code. since the light is now out, is the code valid? Of course, I now have 106K on the car![:@]

All thoughts appreciated.....

Hello, Car sounded like I lost my tailpipe took it to my local Chrysler dealer adn he said I blew out the plug on the bottom of the EGR valve and that it would need to be replaced. Also had them check the tranny from some other issues and they are currently overhauling it under the powertrain warranty. theyquoted me close to $300.00 for the EGR valve, is this something that is covered under powertrain? Last eight of my vin are 4R559520. around 65k miles. Thanks for any help. Rick

Excellent!! Thank you so much for checking on that for me. Is there anything I need to reference when I go to the dealer to pick up, when I talked to them this morning he said it was not covered. Is this a hidden or secret warranty that you have to ask for? Thanks for your help. Rick
