Dealer oil change

Dealer oil change
I've had the oil changed in my Pacifica changed twice by two different dealers and both dealers changed the oil with something other than 10w-30 that the car calls for. One used 5w-30 and another used 5w-20 and had the gall to tell me this was a better grade of oil to use in Phoenix. Isn't 10w-30 actually better for hot climates?

Driving a 2007 touring Pac. Manual says 10W30. In fact says it right on the oil fill cap. Can't these dealers read? 5W20 certainly is not good. Some new engines require this (Honda, some Fords) as those engines are built with very close tolerance. Heavyer oils would actually wear out those engines quicker. The Pac 4.0 needs the 10W30. Check your manual and call it to the dealers attention. Happy motoring.

I wanted to get my car dealer serviced but can't get myself to do it unless they provide the right oil.
