We have a 2004 Pacifica. The a/c on the drivers side doesn't get as cold as the passengers side. The temperature control on the drivers side does seem to work. When the temperature is raised on the drivers side it gets hotter but when we put it all the way down to the lo position it doesnt get as cold as the passengers side in the same setting. If we go to the mode where the control does both sides instead of individually the passengers side is still cooler than the drivers side. Are there separate a/c systems in the car and one is maybe in need of coolent? The rear a/c also gets colder like the passengers side.

We moved to Michigan three years ago, and got a 2005 Pac this year. Lived most of my life in Ft. Worth, and know about the importance of AC. There is only one system in the Pac for dual control, the dual only moves the doors in the unit around to distribute air accordingly. There won't be perfect separation, or temp control, because of the location of the unit and the distance the air travels in the ducts. You have to tweak it a bit, but all in all it does ok. Of course, if one side is hot and the other cold, the vehicle will eventually blend the air overall. It is only meant to help divide the temp somewhat for comfort. Come back if you need more.
