I have been reading the variuos post on the issue of the display going out for the EVIC.
I just purchased a 2004 with 70,235 and the EVIC display is out. I took it to the dealer and they are quoting me $1322.83 to replace the printed circut board (item #4685848AD)

Does anyone know anything about this and is it worth exploring
The dealer I purchased the car from is will to pay half the price for the repair but that is still $715 bill for a car we have owned less than 2 weeks. They also offered to buy the car back from me if I wasn't happy (Acura dealer; maybe I should have bought one of them instead?)
Our vehicle also has the nav (which works fine)so the circut board may be different then the one listed in the repair procedure.
