Default Faulty TCM

Hi All,

Hoping to get some guidance on my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. Driving back from work last night, the transmission started playing up, the revs would fluctuate from high to low and it felt a loss of power. i have looked online for any information on this and it looks like the TCM is at fault. i have tried to get a replacement one as it seems fairly quick and easy to get to and swap out but nowhere online seems to have them.

I've also watch a couple of videos on "Resetting" the TCM. does anyone know if resetting would work or where i can get a replacement one from? i cant check right now as my car is out of town and so need to taxi to it.

Thanks,

Thank you for replying. I noticed this morning in the snow underneith there is some red fluid so assuming it's a transmission leak. Not sure where abouts from though so hoping it hasn't done any damage elsewhere. The car was stopped and turned off as soon as the engine light came on so hopefully its just a leak and nothing else

Same issue I just dealt with replacing my alternator did the trick sometimes when tcm isn’t getting enough power it’s gonna throw ur car into limp mode so then the rpm’s will be high but won’t go faster than 25-30

There is a relay separate from the fuse box that controls the ecm nd power to the tcm if u haven’t looked for it it is by the radiator but check to see if it’s corroded if so it’s a 13 dollar relay nd it fixed my problem hope that helps you
