I have an '06 Pacifica Touring and I just started to receive "Error Reading DVD-ROM Please Check the Disk" when initializing the NAV system. Has anyone seen this? If so, is there a solution that does not involve bringing it to the dealer. I called them and they said this is also not under warranty. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

Haven't had this problem, but have you tried removing the disc and cleaning it? If you've been putting dirty or dusty stuff in the back storage hatch it may have found its way into the disc reader.

 

if the disk is scratched it will do that if not bad dvd drive.

 

Any fix to this problem? (2005 Pac) I am getting the same error and have never even handled the disc for it to get scratched or dirty. The only thing that I can see when I view the disc is a bit of green around the edges of the playable surface. Could the disc deteriorated due to age possibly? I have purchased a new disc off ebay for $45.00 and hope it works.

 

If the new disc doesn't do it then you'll have to replace the dvd drive. in doing so i bet youll get a whole new radio too.
