why are the headlights blinking even tho the car is shut off very cold morning -6 degrees does not seam like alarm going off as there is no audible

Are you certain the alarm never went off? . If the alarm is triggered and no action is taken to disarm it, the system will turn off the horn after three minutes and after 15 minutes of light only operation the system will then rearm itself.
