For what its worth, I have never had a problem ordering connectors when I punch in my cars to that site. I have ordered 4 so far and they have all been correct.

I hear you.. I had to buy 2 connectors.. one for the uconnect module and the other for the RB1 NAV radio. I think I spent about $58 US for the 2 with shipping. Not cheap but solved my problem since a harness at the time was not available for me. Part of it may be that some of the pin sockets might be gold plated. The audio ones (3 of them) were gold plated. My kit. was a 10 pin pug and they gave me 20 wires. 10 regular and 10 with gold plating. The instructions said to use gold ones were necessary. My audio pins on the uconnect module had 3 gold pins so I used 3 of the 10 gold plated wires. When I say wires, I mean the pin sockets with wires attached. each pin socket has about 1.5' of wire.

Have a look here to see how I made my uconnect harness. In some of the pictures you will see the wires on a white table before I built the harness and a few with the shield I used. BTW.. this is all for a Town and Country.. not a Pacifica. I used to own an 04 PAC.

I did notice that the connectors looked gold. Oh well, just ordered the kit. Should receive it around or after the 8th of January.

Until then, Phase II:

So I ended up doing a complete masking job prior to spraying:

next I set it up in the garage: (this is with the first coat)

after applying 5 very light coats: (bottle says to apply 2-3)
left is original, right top is sprayed, right bottom is OEM headrest pulled out of the Pacifica.

All I can say is WOW. This thing is amazing. 5-10 minutes between coats. They call it a "coating", but it's nothing like spray paint, it's acetone 30% so it sinks into the material and ends up looking like an original color.

Wow.. that is amazing. I'll have to keep that color stuff in mind. I like the use of the workmate bench too.

So I decided to prop the back off the front seat. I broke one of the 6 side anchoring snap hooks but it's the middle one. I'll glue it back someday... and this is what I found:

So I figured I may as well trace a path for the cable that won't interfere, so I chiseled into the foam and recessed the cable inside nice and snug. there are holes in the bottom metal frame of the backrest. That's where the cable exits.

Snapped everything back into place, and voila:

The shape is different than the original, but once they are both in place it should look pretty nice.

I now need to finish headrest #2, and hook the wiring into the center console. I'll probably merge everything under the cup holder or on the sides of the console as there is hollow space underneath.

You are doing a great job and thanks for all the pix. This will really help some one down the road. The bummer is having to wait for the factory connector. Have you thought about a video amp? Not sure if you will need one or not but some people have. Also.. do you have the factory remote for the 6 disc changer?

The rear headrests are different too so it is really not a problem right?

Have you seen this thread? He added 900 mhz headphones to a system that had IR. I think this is the guy that might sell the dvd harness to Mr CD1 or even on ebay direct. We had some correspondence way back in this thread.

Yes, I read that thread. I have a remote on the way. I got it for 16$ on ebay (I think the seller made a mistake, as he revised the price to 35$ after I bought the 1st one :-)

The headrests have embedded speakers as well as IR transmiters, so that's great. It also came with a 12v, 6 port video distribution amp.

The good thing about having to wait for the connector is that I can take my time figuring out how to fit everthing inside the center console. I also have to go buy a few connectors and splicers anyway.
