Hitch types
Anyone one know the part number of the old style Mopar hitch? I want the horizontal style. I just ordered part # 82211516AB and I think it is the vertical style. I want a hitch for a cargo box and bike carrier. I like all the pics of the horizontal type, but all the part numbers for those pics I think is the vertical type. Thanks.

Also, I would like to hear from anyone who has the vertical style. I ordered the expensive mopar hitch because I thought it was the older style. If I were to keep this hitch, I would have to by the adapter to make it come out the back. I would think this would wiggle a bit, then when I put in a bike carrier or cargo box it would wiggle more. Anyone have experience with the vertical type?

Can you post some pix? Can't figure out what you mean by vertical or horizontal.
Kind of pricey but they have these things to help movement.

Vertical style meaning that the receiver hole faces the ground. Then, you must install a 90 degree adapter to make it normal.

The anti-rattle pin I'm looking at is here http://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Access...a/63145-1.html
I put the Mopar receiver in today and the Mopar wiring harness. I will have the adapter and bike carrier tomorrow. I like the wiring harness. I will take pics of everything.
That first link isn't working right. Google part number: 82208643AB

The spring is just to hold the threaded block/nut in the ball adapter, or in my case the 90 degree adapter. The pin itself has threads so you can tighten it up. Basically bolting it in.

That looks real good. Is the vertical a new design? I have seen some on pacs where they cut a little of the bumper off and some that still clear it horizontally. With yours, you won't even know it is there when the hitch is off.

The vertical is the current design. I wanted the original where you cut out a piece of the bumper trim, but it is no longer available. This one is good when it is removed, but what I don't like is the extra play. I plan to use the bike carrier and a cargo carrier. We will see.
