Default Trailer Hitch Vertical/Horizontal

Hi Pac 2006, I just joined this forum today , so I don't have full access to your pictures until tomorrow or so.

I am an original owner of a 2004 Pac, and I have the horizontal style Mopar Hitch/Wiring Harness.

I am curious of the ground clearance you will have with a vertical hitch with a 90 degree adaptor.

I use both a cargo box and a Thule Bike Carrier with mine, and I have to be a little careful backing out of my steep driveway with the cargo box when loaded up.

The ground clearance is less than yours I'm sure. I will not keep the 90 degree adapter on when not needed. The only up side is when the adapter is out, you can't see it.

Wanted to get the horizontal last year for my 06 - but could only find the vertical....
as mentioned before - it looks nice when there is nothing on it, but is real pain in the $#@ to constantly take on and off (all connections (pin, wiring, chains) are pretty far under the bumper), and there is considerable 'wiggle'. I will be trying a pin as described above shortly - but all in all i'm really not sure who came up with this crazy idea.
