Thumbs up How Can I Be Sure About AfterMarket 02 Senors

Hey Everyone!

Need some help. I have ordered a new catalytic converter and want to know how to order the "correct" 02 sensors? First, I know it takes two on the 3.5, one before and after the converter. However, my concern is I will order two online only to find out they are not considered OEM and thus not recognized by the Pacifica's PCM.

Is this even an issue as I have heard before? Or if it is, how can I be sure I have ordered 02 Sensors that will function properly and clear the P0420 code and then the "Check Engine" light on the dash?

Thanks, open to ALL SUGESTIONS!

Thanks,

DO NOT USE BOSCH SENSORS! Only OEM or NGK/NTK in Chrysler products. Bosch sensors are not accurately calibrated to be compatible with Chrysler systems. You Tube video by Scanner Danner explains why

Thank you! Will let you know how it turns out. Rockauto has some Walker 02 sensors that say "OEM". What do you think?

Hey Firem,

My mechanic want's me to order a catalytic converter with the bung to the rear. However, all the ones I find are in the middle. (See diagram.) Can you suggest a web-site where I can buy one and a muffler to match? I drive a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica 3.5 AWD Touring.

Thanks,

In relation to the Pat Cats and O2 sensors. Keep in mind the "anti-fouler" trick when dealing with P0420 issues. Been running back-to-back anti-foulers on my Pac O2 sensor for 2 years, before that P0420 codes were popping up all the time. Now no longer an issue at all.
