Humming Sound - Bad Wheel Bearing?
My Pacifica has 63K miles and I'm hearing what seems to be possibly a wheel bearing going bad. It's a low humming sound. The tires are good, and the sound is slowly getting louder. The hum doesn't change on various road types and seems to be coming from the front end. What should I expect when I bring it to the shop. Is this a costly repair on the Pacifica's?
Thanks

seems I had a rear bearing go bad on our 06 pacifica somewhere around the mileage you mention. had a local non-dealer fix for a few hundred as I recall. now over 100k. wish that was the worst I was in to. good luck.

Pretty sure a hub. Road types won't change the sound, but more the speed variation. Don't know the cost in garage as I do it all myself. Cost me 52$ for the hub, an hour of my own time. Pretty cheap.

Wheel Bearing Update
Finally brought my Pacifica in with fingers crossed that after the wheel bearings were replaced the noise would be gone. I'm happy to report, YES, after the installation of both front bearings the noise is gone. Now, I know bringing it into the dealer would cost me top dollar but how about $600.00 for the repair??? Yikes..
